How did Flings Pop-Up Trash Containers come about?

Flings Containers are the result of several different groups of people converging and collaborating on a novel idea. This includes an inspired inventor who saw the need for a disposable, but attractive, trash container; several specialists in materials, product development, sustainability and marketing; and a small, aggressive band of entrepreneurs. (As they say, it takes a village...)

Why did Flings start with Party Containers?

Well, we listened to consumers via research. Consumers told us that they had no good solutions for managing trash or recycling at parties, picnics or other events -- just dirty old trash cans or a bag hung over a doorknob. And since we really like a good party, too -- we figured this was a great place to start! But there are so many uses for Flings.. watch for other Flings containers coming soon.

Can I re-use my Flings Container?

That's totally up to you. In some cases, people have told us that they've been able to re-use the containers by dumping party trash or recycling into their ordinary containers. It seems to be largely a function of how messy the trash was. Ultimately, though, our goal was to make the bin inexpensive enough that it could be placed in either the waste or recycling stream. Over time, you'll find what works for you.

How should I dispose of my Flings Recycling Container?

Flings Recycling Containers are recyclable in many recycling processing centers (different cities have different capabilities). Flings are designed to make it easier to capture recyclable items such as bottles and cans. They are especially helpful during parties, picnics and events when guests often don't know what to do with recycling. Flings help keep recycling and trash separate -- making recycling a snap!

Where can I find Flings?

We're a brand new company and it's going to take a little while to get it into all stores near you. Current outlets can be seen on our News and Partners page. But please check back here periodically to see which retailers have added Flings.

How do I return an item?

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase of Flings bins.

If you are not satisfied, for any reason, within 15 days, you may return it for a full refund (you must pay the shipping costs for the return and we do not refund any shipping charges). Just print a copy of your receipt, and ship the receipt and the bins back to us within 15 days of your date of purchase and we'll send you a full refund for the bins.

Please ship your product back to us using FedEx, UPS, or delivery confirmation with USPS so that delivery can be tracked.
